These terms cover the Stellar River Meadow website and the way orders and styling sessions are agreed through it. By using the site, or by sending us an enquiry about an order, you accept them. If you disagree with a part, please write to us before you buy.
Stellar River Meadow is an independent seller of natural-fibre clothing and accessories. Our contact details, including our address in Imabari, Ehime, are at the foot of every page and in the commercial notice.
The site is an introduction to what we sell, not a shop checkout. There is no basket and no online payment. The pieces, prices and services described here are invitations to talk, not binding offers; a sale exists only once you and we have agreed it in the way described below.
Prices are shown in Japanese yen. The total you pay, including consumption tax and any delivery charge, is stated in our reply before you decide. The photographs are illustrative styling images: they show mood and material, and may not show the exact item, colour or size on offer. Fabric compositions are given as supplied to us, and the label on the garment is the authoritative statement; we will read it out to you on request.
First, you write to us about a piece. Second, we reply with availability, size and colour, the total, how it would be delivered and how it can be paid. Third, you confirm by email. Fourth, we confirm back, and the order is binding from that point. Nothing is charged before the third step, and a hold, where we offer one, is only a note that a piece is set aside for the period stated in our reply.
Payment is by a method stated in our reply for that order. We never ask for card numbers by email. Payment is due at the time stated in the reply, and we dispatch after payment is confirmed unless the reply says otherwise.
Delivery method, timing and cost are agreed for each order before you confirm it. Where you collect a piece in person, we arrange the day and place by email. A piece is yours to look after from the moment it is delivered or handed over.
If a piece arrives faulty, damaged or not as described, write to us soon after delivery with a photograph. We will arrange an exchange or a refund depending on the case, and we bear the cost of sending the piece back. For returns for other reasons, such as size or a change of mind, the conditions are stated in our reply before you confirm; if the reply states none, you may return an unused piece within 8 days of receiving it, at your own cost, as the Act on Specified Commercial Transactions provides. Please tell us before you send anything back.
A styling appointment, wardrobe edit or gift selection is arranged by email. Before you book, we tell you the day, the time, where or how it will take place and whether a fee applies. You may change or cancel by email; if a fee has been agreed, our reply says what happens to it. A session carries no obligation to buy, and our advice on style is a matter of taste, not a guarantee of fit or of how a garment will look on you.
The articles are general information about fibres and care. They are not a promise about any particular garment. Follow the care label on the garment and, if you are unsure about an expensive piece, ask us or a professional cleaner before washing it.
The texts and layout of this site are ours. Photographs are illustrative images; where a photograph comes from a third party, the rights stay with its owner. Copying any of it for commercial purposes needs our permission first. Sharing a link with a friend is welcome.
We may change or withdraw pages without notice and do not promise that the site will always be available. Where we link to another site, its content is its owner’s responsibility.
To the extent the law allows, Stellar River Meadow is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from the use of this website. This does not limit liability for our own intent or gross negligence, and nothing here reduces the rights you have as a consumer under Japanese law.
These terms are governed by Japanese law. A dispute that cannot be settled by talking is brought before the court with jurisdiction over Imabari, Ehime: the Matsuyama District Court, Imabari Branch, or the Imabari Summary Court, according to the amount in dispute.
We may amend these terms, and the current text is always the one at this address. The date at the top shows the latest revision; terms that applied when you confirmed an order continue to apply to that order.
