Tell us about up to ten pieces from your wardrobe. We look at what works, what a new piece could extend and what can stay exactly as it is.

Tell us who the gift is for, their approximate size and a rough sense of their taste. We suggest two or three options and explain each choice.

If a piece needs shortening, taking in or re-lining, we can point you to an independent tailor. The alteration is arranged and paid for between you and the tailor.

A mid-length overcoat in a blend of 70% wool and 30% recycled polyester. The brushed surface has a soft, slightly felted feel. Shown in slate grey and deep navy; sizes and availability are confirmed by email.

A linen shirt dyed with indigo in small batches. The colour is expected to deepen slightly with each wash rather than fade flat. Cut with a slightly dropped shoulder and a single chest pocket.

A turtleneck knitted in a 2x2 rib from extra-fine merino at a heavier gauge than many merino knits, so it keeps its shape. See our care guide before washing, and follow the label.

Trousers in a mid-weight wool-linen blend that taper from a relaxed hip to a clean ankle. A subtle herringbone weave reads as a solid colour from a distance. Side adjusters replace belt loops at the waistband.

A 30 mm belt in vegetable-tanned leather. It arrives pale and stiff, and darkens and softens with wear over the first few months. Offered in three lengths; ask us which one suits your waist.

A scarf woven from 60% silk and 40% wool. The silk adds a slight sheen and drape, and the wool keeps it warm. Colourways: warm rust, pale stone and charcoal.

A tote in heavy 12 oz unbleached canvas with a reinforced base and flat handles long enough to carry over the shoulder. Canvas softens and takes on character with use.

A plain-weave cotton shirt of about 120 gsm with ceramic buttons, a weight that sits between a summer and a winter shirt. It layers well under the wool overcoat.
