A styling appointment at Stellar River Meadow is not a sales session with a different name. It is a conversation about your wardrobe, followed by a selection of pieces from the current collection that might be useful. You are not obliged to buy anything, and we will tell you if nothing in the current selection is right for you at this moment. This is a plain account of how it works.
01 Before the appointment
There is no preparation required. Some customers find it useful to think briefly about what they reach for most often and what they feel is missing, but this is not necessary. We will ask a few questions at the start of the session that cover the same ground.
If you want to share a piece or two from your existing wardrobe as a reference point, in photographs or in person, that is welcome. It is often easier to talk about what works and what does not when there is a real garment in the room.
02 The first fifteen minutes
The session starts with a short conversation. We will ask about your wardrobe in general terms: what you wear most, what occasions you are dressing for, whether there are specific gaps you are aware of, and what your relationship with colour tends to be. This is not an interview. It is a conversation, and it usually takes about fifteen minutes.
We will also ask about fit preferences. Some people prefer a relaxed silhouette; others prefer something closer. Neither is right or wrong, and the collection has pieces across that range.
03 The selection and try-on
Based on the conversation, we will put together a small number of pieces from the current selection, typically four to six. We will explain why we have chosen each one and what we think it does for the wardrobe. You try what you want to try. There is no pressure to try everything, and no pressure to buy anything.
If something does not work, we will say so. If nothing in the current selection is right for this appointment, we will say that too. The session ends when you are ready to leave, whether that is after forty minutes or ninety.
Styling appointments are arranged through the contact page or by email. Our reply gives the day, the time and the place or format, and says whether a fee applies before you book.
